Salam Al Obaidi e Liberato Ferrara premiati con l’Outstanding Paper Award

Il Dott. Salam Al Obaidi, ex dottorando del nostro corso di dottorato in Ingegneria Strutturale Sismica e Geotecnica, insieme al professor Liberato Ferrara, hanno ricevuto il prestigioso “Outstanding Paper Award” dalla rivista Materials and Structures per l’articolo dal titolo “Effect of matrix self-healing on the bond-slip behavior of micro steel fibers in ultra-high-performance concrete” (2023) di Salam Al-Obaidi, Shan He, Erik Schlangen & Liberato Ferrara.

Questo riconoscimento è stato assegnato dal Comitato Scientifico di Materials and Structures, che è la pubblicazione di punta della RILEM (International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials, Systems, and Structures).

Ogni anno, il Comitato Scientifico seleziona fino a dieci articoli (top 5% degli articoli pubblicati annualmente dalla rivista) che vengono pubblicati come open-access papers, rappresentando l’eccellenza nella comunità scientifica di RILEM.

La ricerca è stata resa possibile anche grazie alla collaborazione del nostro dipartimento con TUDelft (Università tecnica di Delft) nell’ambito dell’alleanza Enhance, un’iniziativa che ha favorito la collaborazione tra istituti di ricerca di alto livello favorendo la mobilità dei giovani ricercatori e la condivisione di competenze.
