IAHR 85th Anniversary Summit – Celebrating 85 years of global leadership in hydro-environment

17 December 2020 @ 14:00 - 15:30

In terms of human suffering, economic costs and damage to cultural and environmental heritage, inland and coastal floods have impacts increasing yearly worldwide. On the one hand, we are faced by the occurrence of more extreme climate-related events and rural landscapes transformations. On the other hand, our efforts are frustrated by limitations in our modelling capabilities.

The topic will be introduced and discussed by four experts:

– Alastair Barnett, director, Hydra Software Ltd.
– Marian Muste, professor Hydroscience & Engineering at the University of Iowa
– Daniela Molinari, researcher at Politecnico di Milano
– Stefan Haun, head of the Hydraulic Laboratory at the University of Stuttgart
