Alberto Guadagnini Elected International Member of the US National Academy of Engineering

On September 30, 2024, the official Induction Ceremony for the 2024 Class of elected Members of the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE) took place at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC. Among the newly elected international members is Professor Alberto Guadagnini, professor of Hydraulic and Water Engineering and Vice Rector for Research at Politecnico di Milano.

Guadagnini was recognized for his pioneering contributions to stochastic hydrogeology and contaminant transport in aquifers, which have led to improvements in water resource management and water quality.
