Seismic engineering and structural dynamics

Research activities:

• Engineering Seismology, with main reference to seismic hazard analysis, 3D numerical simulations of seismic wave propagation, ground motion prediction models.
• Earthquake engineering, including analytical/ numerical/ experimental investigation of the seismic response of different types of structures, also with reference to national and international standards.
• Structural dynamics and wind engineering, with main reference to complex structural systems (civil and industrial buildings) under the action of winds, sea waves, traffic loads or machine-induced vibrations.
