On Friday, March 14th, a seminar will be held in the Aula Magna (Building 1) from 11:15 AM, titled “Nutrition in Transition: Transnational Land Deals and Dietary Diversity in the Global South“.

The seminar will be conducted by Prof. Marc F. Müller, Professor at EAWAG-ETH Zurich.

Abstract

Large-scale land deals reshape rural areas, often displacing small farms and ecosystems. This talk analyzes 400+ land deals across 28 countries, linking them to child diets. Using a clustering algorithm, it identifies trade-offs, showing how policies can better regulate investments for fairer, sustainable outcome.
