Congratulations to Andrea Marcucci for the Student Travel Award

Andrea Marcucci, PhD student in Structural Seismic and Geotechnical Engineering at Politecnico DICA is one of the recipients, out of 50 applicants, of the student travel award granted by the American Concrete Institute to attend the aci spring 2023 convention in San Francisco.

Under the “convention mentorship” of his thesis supervisor Liberato Ferrara, from April 1st to 6th Andrea will represent our student chapter at international events and will attend committee meetings with fellow students, academics and industry professionals.

He will also present some results of his PhD work on slipforming tunnel retrofitting Technology (Hinfra) in three tematic sessions related to Advances in Fiber Reinforced Concrete and in Sustainable Materials for 3D printing applications and on the Opportunities and Challenges to use Data Science in Concrete Technology.
