Prof. Fabio Biondini of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering has been nominated as Chair of the Technical Council on Life-Cycle Performance, Safety, Reliability, and Risk of Structural Systems of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE/SEI).
Founded in 2008 in replacement of the Technical Committee on Structural Safety and Reliability – for over 40 years one of the most important American co-normative reference, today the Technical Council represents the main ASCE body dedicated to the life cycle of structures and infrastructures, with as a strongly international composition.
